My name is Jonathan Russell, but you can call me Johnny (yes, I spell it with an "h"!). I am a multidisciplinary visual artist and designer based in Tiohtiá
(Montreal), raised in The Bahamas, and with a stint of 6 years in Tkaronto (Toronto). I graduated in 2024 from the New Media Program at Toronto Metropolitan University. I've worked on projects for underground artists and small startups, but I’m now ready to make a bigger impact in the design world through my creativity. Obsessed with blending 3D and 2D, I'm venturing into freelance graphic design. A true creative at heart, I’m constantly driven by learning and making new things.
My art is an extensive exploration into existence, the self, and society.This is done through eclecticism which manifests itself as a multi-disciplinarian approach to storytelling in my visual practice.At the core of it, lies the bridge between the intimate and the infinite.
To be completely transparent with you, there's something about using text as a design element that I find quietly beautiful. It fills space without demanding attention, a subtle presence among the noise. If you've made it this far, thank you for pausing and spending a moment here.
