GREEN TEA STUDIOS
MARKETING TEAM, SOCIAL MEDIA GRAPHIC DESIGN
I had the opportunity to lead the design efforts for Green Tea Studios' social media campaign promoting Botanica, a whimsical greenhouse simulator aimed at the cozy gaming market. Botanica is all about reconnecting with nature, so my approach to the social media graphics was centered around capturing the game's peaceful, organic aesthetic while emphasizing its core message: that we are a part of the planet, not just living on top of it.
With a deep understanding of the target audience and our key platforms—TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube—I developed a cohesive visual strategy that would resonate with the cozy gamer community. Drawing inspiration from games like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing, I focused on creating warm, inviting designs that reflected the game’s soothing atmosphere. We built an engaging visual identity for the game, crafting a series of posts that not only showcased Botanica's lush, hand-drawn environments, but also conveyed a sense of tranquility and connection to nature.
The graphics I designed for our social media channels were heavily informed by Botanica’s themes of sustainability and mindfulness. I worked closely with the marketing team to develop mood boards, color palettes, and layouts that highlighted the game’s unique selling points while ensuring consistency across all platforms. Each design was carefully crafted to evoke a sense of calm and wonder, combining natural elements like plants and greenhouse motifs with playful, cozy design touches.
This visual identity set the tone for our overall messaging, with a focus on creating a narrative that felt inviting and heartfelt. I was also involved in the creation of motion graphics and short, storytelling-driven video content to build anticipation around Botanica’s upcoming demo release on Steam. Working with my team, we successfully crafted an engaging social media presence that not only showcased the beauty of Botanica but also fostered a connection with the audience, drawing them into the world we had built.
