CHROMA HOUSE PARTY

CREATIVE DIRECTION, GRAPHIC DESIGN

These posters are a collection of visual love letters to a night of freedom. CHROMA wanted to create a night that felt like a show, a release, a reunion, and an experiment all at once. That’s how CHROMA’s house party came to life. It started as a way to bring the creative scenes—fashion, music, art, film—into one place, but quickly turned into something more layered and emotional. The theme throughout was called “Welcome Home <3” because that’s what it felt like: a homecoming for people who live a little left of center.

Visually, for this project I leaned into what felt honest to us—raw textures, nostalgic tech, saturated colors, and a little bit of chaos. I was really drawn to early 2000s club flyers and DIY zines—stuff that looks like it was thrown together fast but with purpose. The glitchy VHS filter is something I’ve always loved; it distorts in a way that makes the moment feel both lost and eternal. The disco ball, lingerie, and lip prints were deliberate—symbols of nightlife and intimacy, but also celebration and comfort. There’s something about mixing the sensual and the playful that just feels real.

Typography-wise, I didn’t want it to be slick or overly designed. The fonts are rough and a little off-balance. It’s meant to look like someone typed this in a rush of excitement, maybe half-drunk, definitely hyped.

This project let me play with contrast in a big way—darkness and glitter, polish and mess, intimacy and performance. It’s the first in what I hope becomes an ongoing series, each one pushing deeper into what it means to create space for connection through visual culture.
